Account Migration Deadline
The deadline for migrations was tentatively set for 05/31/2005. After evaluating the remaining migrations, we have determined the following plan to complete migration of your account by 07/01/2005. This date is final since at that time, our Internet connection will be canceled and all servers removed from our office.
IMPORTANT: ON 07/01/2005, ALL HOSTORLANDO.COM ACCOUNTS WILL BE SHUT DOWN. Any accounts not migrated by then will cease to function.
Updated Migration Plan
IF YOU HAVE A MIGRATION IN PROGRESS, you have until 06/15/2005 to complete it. After that time, your migration will be "forced" to our new servers. See below for the details of a forced migration.
IF YOU HAVE NOT REQUESTED YOUR MIGRATION, you have until 06/15/2005 to request and complete your migration. After that time, your migration will be "forced" to our new servers. See below for the details of a forced migration. If your site and/or email are not critical, you may request a forced migration prior to the 06/15/2005 deadline if you would like. IF YOUR MIGRATION IS NOT COMPLETED BY 06/15/2005, IT WILL BE FORCED. For a forced migration, we will:
- Notify you that your migration is going to be forced and provide additional information you will need.
- Copy your current web site to the new servers (if you have web hosting).
- Create any email accounts and aliases you have to match those currently configured (if you have email hosting) including any forwarding.
- Attempt to change any SMTP server names in your web site scripts to our new SMTP server (if applicable)--we cannot guarantee that we will correct all scripts.
- Change your DNS information to point your domain to the new servers.
- Remove your old hosting accounts 72 hours after the DNS changes.
DNS Change Notes
IF YOUR DOMAIN IS REGISTERED THROUGH ADAPTIVE HOSTING SOLUTIONS, we will change the DNS servers to the new DNS servers and you will not need to make any other DNS changes.
IF YOUR DOMAIN IS *NOT* REGISTERED THROUGH ADAPTIVE HOSTING SOLUTIONS, we will only be able to change the DNS server records on our DNS servers to the new server information. This means you will still need to change the DNS server information with your registrar prior to 07/01/2005 to prevent disruption in service once our DNS servers are offline.
IF WE DO NOT HOST YOUR DNS, you will need to make the DNS changes we give you with your DNS host prior to 07/01/2005 to prevent disruption in service once our DNS servers are offline.
Important Dates and Deadlines
06/15/2005 - Deadline to complete any migrations on your own
06/16/2005 - Forced migrations will be started
07/01/2005 - Deadline to make DNS server changes (if applicable)
07/01/2005 - All servers and Internet connectivity to remaining hostorlando.com accounts will be shut down
