Due to the earlier datacenter problems, the adaptive01 Linux hosting
server is still down. I have talked with a technician and they are
going to work on this now so we hope to have it available soon.
Please accept my apology for the extended downtime. We will be working
with our datacenter provider to see what we can do to prevent this from
happening again.
UPDATE - 5:20 PM ET: This server is still unreachable at this time. A technician is working on getting it back up and we hope to have an update soon.

We have received the following update from our datacenter
provider. We have been receiving updates all morning, but I wanted to wait to post the details until we had an
understanding of the cause of the outage.
At 4:09AM CST, a power failure occurred in a redundant pair of Powerware UPS units feeding power to section B of the DLLSTX2 datacenter. The power failure was caused by a faulty fuse in UPS unit B-1. As the load transferred to UPS unit B-2, the spike in the load created an overloaded breaker and UPS B2 also lost power. This resulted in a power outage to the main power distribution unit feeding section B of the datacenter floor. Emergency teams were notified and the power was restored within 20 minutes. The power continued to cycle until 6:45AM due to the faulty fuse and the inability of the redundant UPS units to remain in bypass mode. Powerware, JT Packard, and electricians found the problem and replaced the faulty hardware and fuses. At 6:45AM, all electrical service was restored to normal and the NOC team began to bring all servers back online. The technical staff is currently placing a console on all servers to verify server restarts. Powerware and JT Packard will continue to monitor the UPS systems for the next 24 to 48 hours. No further power outages are anticipated. As of this posting, adaptive01 is still down and we are waiting for a technician to restart it.

Currently there is an outage in the Dallas datacenter which is causing
our adaptive01 Linux hosting server to be unreachable. The cause of the
outage is unkown at this time and we do not have an ETA for a fix.
Network operations is working on the issue and we will post an update
when we have more information.
UPDATE - 9:30 AM ET: Over the past hour, we have been seeing more and more parts of the datacenter network coming back online. The problem is still being worked on and we hope that adaptive01 will be reachable soon. Please note that until we get an official status update from our datacenter, that connectivity to adaptive01 may be intermittent. UPDATE - 10:15 AM ET: We have received a status update that our server may have lost power due to the root cause of this outage and will need to be manually powered on. Our datacenter provider is in the process of doing a sweep of all servers to make sure they are powered on if needed. Thursday, March 17

Due to database changes needed to prepare for additional servers being
added to the Blogware server farm, there will be a short outage of
about 5-10 minutes at 8PM tonight for the administration
interface. During this time you will not be able to acess the
administration site or post articles to your blog. During this time,
blog access may be slow.
