As announced yesterday, we have made the necessary changes and launched Blogzerk this morning.

Announcing Blogzerk

On 10/25/2005, we are launching Blogzerk.  This is the new name for our current blog hosting service.  This is the same as our current blog hosting with a few changes and additions.

We will still be using Blogware for the blogs and you won't have to make any changes to enjoy the new Blogzerk service.  We wanted to give you a rundown of these changes and additions so you'd be prepared when you see the Blogzerk name.

The following changes and additions will be made on 10/25/2005.

Changes

• The Publisher's Control Panel will be updated with the Blogzerk name.
• The Publisher's Control Panel will be accessible at http://controlpanel.blogzerk.com/  The old URL, http://blogadmin.adaptivehostingsolutions.com/ will still work.
• The blog hosting packages will be renamed as follows:
  Blogware Basic will become Blogzerk Basic
  Blogware Plus will become Blogzerk Plus
  All features and pricing remain the same.
• All current blogs are part of the Blogzerk service. All users of the Blogzerk service will be called Blogzerkers--hey, it could be worse

These changes will not affect the way you currently use, manage, or are billed for your blog.

 

Additions

• The new Blogzerk web site will be launched: http://www.blogzerk.com/
• Three new Blogzerk blog templates have been added.  These will be available in addition to the standard Blogware templates.  The names will all begin with "Blogzerk - " to make them easy to find in the template list.  More templates will be coming soon.
• A color changing utility will be added to allow you to more easily change the colors of your blog if you are using one of the Blogzerk templates.
• Three new blog hosting packages will be added: Blogzerk Premium; Blogzerk Ultra; Blogzerk Extreme. The details on these packages can be found at http://www.blogzerk.com/plans.php
• The Blogzerk Forums will be available at http://forums.blogzerk.com/
  The forums are for all blog users to share information with the Blogzerk community on using their blog. We will also use the forums to post tips for using your blog.  You will need to register to post to the forum--this is a separate login from your blog login.

What's Next

We hope you enjoy the additional features Blogzerk will give you.  We will be adding more features in the near future.  The first on the list is an RSS-enabled calendar which you will be able to create to use on your blog.  This should be released in about two weeks.
